We are now looking for Field Instrumentation Commissioning Technician / Engineer for a project in Olkiluoto. Work starts on 01.09.2017 and estimated duration is 9 months.

The summary of the field instrumentation commissioning technician/engineer tasks consists in:
  • - Performing on-site baseline measurements on different kind of valves (valves with electrical or hydraulic actuator, solenoid valves, safety valves, chick valves) and vibration measurements on safety related and operational pumps.
  • - Execution of field tests / loop checks on different type of sensors / measurement chains according to commissioning instructions of diagnostic systems.
Under the authority of the diagnostic systems commissioning section leas, the field instrumentation commissioning technician/engineer will be in charge of following tasks:
Prepare the field task
  • - Check availability and accessibility of components to be measured / commissioned onsite and request / establish the blockings and test permits as needed.
  • - Request any special permits needed for test execution (confined space, scaffold)
  • - Identify the components for which technical clarifications (Ops, CR, FCR, DCRs) are on-going. Exchange with components engineering / system commissioning responsible to get precise input concerning open points or outstanding issues which might impact the test result.
  • - Make sure the equipment needed for test execution is available, calibrated and functional. Support equipment like cranes for the actuators to be tested shall be organized in advance.
  • - make sure the HSE aspects of the task are covered by appropriate analysis(MSRA).
Perform the field task
  • - Perform the field task by applying the dedicated procedures applicable for the valve kind or the dedicated commissioning instructions.
  • - Make a quick review of the results before moving the measurement equipment and exchange with the valve engineering / system commissioning responsible if necessary.
Test evaluation and result documentation
For valve baseline measurements:
  • - Ensure the evaluation criteria are available on the evaluation software.
  • - Make an evaluation of the measurement using the dedicated measurement software.
  • - Print-out, sign and archive the evaluation protocols properly.
  • - Periodically, a backup of the databases shall be done.
  • - At the end of the measurement campaign, make sure the databases are secured and archived in a proper way.
For test execution, according to commissioning instruction:
  • - Fill the result record sheet of the tests executed in-line with the instructions.
  • - troubleshoot deviations from acceptance criteria under supervision of system commissioning responsible.
Reporting
  • - Daily progress reporting on progress to system commissioning responsible and/or section lead.
  • - Weekly reposting to commissioning management / customer on progress and issues.
General and Technical background expected:
  • - Engineer degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • - Valve/actuator diagnostic knowledge and advanced knowledge on vibration measurements is a must.
  • - Advanced knowledge in measurement and instrumentation.
Skills required:
  • - Experience in preparation of measurement setups on valves, actuators and sensors.
  • - Experience in loop checks and measurement chain calibration.
  • - Experience in analysis of signals resulting from measurements on valves, actuators and vibration sensors.
  • - Capacity of troubleshooting.
  • - Good relational and communication skills.
  • - Analysis and synthesis skills.
  • - Ability to work in an international team.
  • - Aware of HSE and IT security aspects.
  • - Fluent English, other languages beneficial.
Tools:
  • - Proficient with MS Excel reporting (pivot tables, statistics,).
  • - Experience with OL3 engineering tools (COEDM 1.4, OPMS, AIMS, CMS,). is a plus.
